| Born about 1848. Having no great medicine devrived
from his own vision, he was adopted into the Tobacco order by
Bull Goes Hunting, who gave him medicine of a fossil, or a stone,
roughly some Piegan who had killed a woman in the Apsaroke camp
oppostie Fort C. F. Smith on the Bighorn, he counted dakshe
and captured a gun by the same act – a high honor. Led
two parties against the Hunkpapa Sioux, each time taking scalps.
Captured fifty horses form the Yanktonai at Fort Peck, and with
Deaf Bull led a party that brought back eighty horses from the
Teton Sioux. |
